In March 2014 I did a short and nothing but breath taking trip to Iceland. I've had as a goal for a while to experience raw and unaltered nature and this trip was an amazing introduction to what will hopefully be a series of experiences of similar magnitude.
The trip consisted of four and half days and we stayed most of nights in Reykjavik.
One of the biggest take-aways was the contrast coming from a big city, landing and driving out to these endless landscapes.
Silence. Stillness. An almost constantly present feeling of that this is how it should be, that this is the natural state of life and that these birds and rocks and fields keep on living parallel with everything else.
